SERIOUS ACCIDENT

Henry Kreim Knocked Down by a
Horse and Badly Cut

While standing near the corner of First Avenue and Second Street yesterday afternoon watching the Hi Henry parade, Henry Kreim, a lad fourteen years old, was knocked down by a horse and badly cut about the head. The horse was attached to a milk wagon belonging to Henry Nicklesen, and was driven at a high rate of speed that is allowed by the city ordinance.

The driver never stopped to investigate the seriousness of the affair but proceeded at a lively gate up First Avenue.

Young Kreim was picked up insensible and conveyed to the office of Dr. Kubler, when it was found that he had sustained two severe scalp wounds, one four inches long on the left side of his head and another about three inches long just above his forehead.

The hair was removed from near the wounds and they were carefully sewed up, after which the boy was removed to his home on DeWitt Street.

Information will be filed against the driver of the wagon and he will have an opportunity to explain.
