The residence of Mr. L. Kellogg, near Elvir, was burglarized Monday night and goods to the amount of $100 were taken.

Tuesday morning Officer Donnelly who had been given the clue, set himself about to watch a Swede teamster, who had aroused his suspicions, that all was not right. About 10 o’clock at night the Swede, whose name is Gus Erickson, took two grain bags containing something which he was evidently trying to conceal, to a shed in the rear of the residence of Olaf Nelson, the shoemaker, at No. 318 Second Street. Officer Forsee was summoned and Erickson together with an accomplice named Anderson were arrested. The bags were examined and found to contain harnesses and other articles taken from the farm of Mr. Kellogg. Wednesday the house was searched and more harnesses discovered. Nelson, the shoemaker, was then arrested and locked up as an accomplice. Mrs. Nelson who was also threatened with imprisonment, produced some butter which had also been stolen from Kellogg’s. Mr. Kellogg who had been telephoned came and identified his clothing and harnesses. Mr. C. A. Toby, another farmer, who lives near Low Moor, found and identified his double harness in the same pile.
