The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, June 15, 1883

Last evening at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. Frank R. Gilson of the Herald of this city, and Miss Mary T. Hobbs of DeWitt, were united in marriage by Rev. George R. Manning in the presence of the relatives and more intimidate friends of the contracting parties. A large and handsome lot of presents were left with the esteemed couple in remembrance of the happy occasion. Everybody here congratulates Frank on the capture of a valuable prize, and wishes him and his fair bride a long life of prosperity and happiness.
