The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, February 4, 1881

Little George Bentley, son of Wm. Bentley, Esq., had quite a runaway on his hands Sunday. The high spirited horse named “Tillie,” took the bit in his teeth, and started running strong, as did his political namesake in ’76. George, with nerve far beyond is years, brought the horse up standing, after a frightful and maddening run. The boy deserves credit for his bravery.
