Arthur Leffingwell, of this city, who runs between Savanna and Chicago, was one of two survivors. When the boat overturned, one man swam ashore and the other three caught hold of the skiff, which sank with them. Art tried to save a chum, but was unable to do so, and when he gained the shore was so exhausted that he fainted.
