William H. Childs, Republican candidate for Clinton County attorney, stands high in his profession and he is regarded by the people of Clinton County as absolutely square, fair and honest and we know him to be competent to fill the office to which he aspires.

Mr. Childs was born and reared on a farm in Eden Township and educated in the public schools and Cornell College. He commenced the practice of law in Lyons with his uncle, the late W. C. Grohe, in the year 1894. Since the death of Mr. Grohe he has practiced successfully his profession and enjoys a large clientage among the businessmen of Lyons and farmers of the northern part of the county. Seventeen years of experience in law should be an argument in his favor, since his opponent is much younger in years and experience.
