J. J. DETERMANN, farmer, Sec. 10; P. O. Lyons. He was born Dec. 21, 1831, in Hanover, Germany. In 1853, he came to St. Louis; in 1856, he came to Clinton Co., Iowa. He owns 260 acres of land. He married Christina Englecamp in 1861; she was born in Prussia. They had ten children, five living -- Mary Caroline, John W., Mary Christina, Mary Louisa and Mary Sophia.
