Cairns Brothers

CAIRNS, MEISENHELTER

I am looking for any information on the Seven Cairns Brothers, a troupe of actors and musicians who traveled the Midwest. The boys grew up in Decatur, Il., but Harry E. is buried in Ocheydan, Iowa. (Location unknown to me)

The very limited info I have is: Harry E. "Pat" was born 12 Nov 1888 in Brighton, Il.; married Hazel Unknown; Died 5 Apr 1924 Rochester, Mn.; Buried Ocheydan, Iowa. Mother: Claudia E. Rickard. Brothers: Herbert, Walter, Roy, Warren and Rolland Cairns. Albert Cairns, who would make the 7th brother, is not mentioned in the obit notes found on an index card in the Blue Mound, Il., library. However, I have pictures of he and his wife, Mary Meisenhelter Cairns, as part of the 7 Cairns Brothers troupe.

I did find some of the family members in the 1930 census in Clayton Co.
