Muller / Miller Family

MULLER, MILLER, WILMES, ROSMANN

My Miller (Muller) family line has origins in Clayton County (Boardman Township). The family was originally "Muller" and came from Luxembourg, I believe initially on August 8th, 1863. I have a genealogy web-site that has been recently updated with significant information on this family line:

http://webs.cedar-rapids.net/miller/family_history.htm
(choose Miller/Muller)

We have pictures of the gravestones of the Peter Miller household (including John Peter Miller) in St. Joseph's Cemetary in Elkader. The Michael Miller family left for Westphalia, Iowa in the late 1800s.

I have a few questions:

1) Do you know of any living descendant families of this Miller families? Particularly, the Peter Miller/Muller (John Peter, or Jean Pierre) and Josephine Miller (1842-1922) descendants.

Josephine Miller (1842-1922) married
John Willmes (or Wilmes)(1837-1884)
Children:
1. Nicholas Willmes (b: 1869)
2. Dominic Willmes (b. 1877)

Jean Pierre Miller/Muller (1841-1923) married
Josephine Willmes (1835-1922)
Children:
1. John Peter Miller (b. 1867)
2. Domnick Miller (b. 1868)
3. Joseph Miller (b. Mar-1870)
4. Michael Miller (b. 1872)
5. Phillip Miller (b. 1875)
6. Nicholas Miller (b. 1875)
7. Clara Miller (b. 1880)
8. John Miller (b. 1877)

2) I need to confirm some information, and need to secure a copy of the Michael Miller (Michel Muller) & Cathrina Schumacher marriage document.

According to Mary Miller Gross, p113 of the marriage records at the Clayton County courthouse indicates that Michel Miller (Muller) & Catherine Schumacher applied for a Certificate of Marriage on July, 12, 1867, but the minister who married them failed to return the certificate indicating when & where they were
married. Her search of the records at St. Joseph's church in Elkader shows no marriage records earlier than 1868 although the church was built in 1856.

Could anyone provide any assistance in finding this marriage record? We are particularly interested in any statements on the parent of Cathrina Schumacher and place of birth.

Please pay particular interest to the pictures in two old Miller family photo albums, which were put together circa 1910, and have many Elkader / Dubuque area comments / photographers.
