This is to update my recent query of Doweiler. The daughter of Joe and Margaret Petschauer was Frances. I've recently found the death certificates for her children...Frederick J. and Edward T and both list their father as being PETER DOWEILER. Frances also had a daughter but I haven't found further documentation other than census info on her. I now know that Frances remarried after Peter's death to a Frank M Troje who was also widowed. The Troje family was living in South Dakota by the 1920 census and in St Paul, Minnesota by the 1930 census. Frances died in Minnesota in 1948. Edward died in Minnesota as well and Frederick died in California. The missing information is of course a marriage record for Peter Dorweiler and Frances Petschauer who married in Iowa. Peter had to have died before 1910 as that census has the widowed Frances living in Jefferson Township with her children and her parents.
