Using Ancestry & FamilySearch, I find George in 1860 census in McGregor with a Catharine age 60 (maybe his mother). In 1870 he is in Boscobel, Grant Co. WI with wife Mary and children: Anna age 6 b. IA, George J. age 4 b. IA, Henry age 2 b. WI and twins Theodore & Leo age 0 b. WI. He is a brewer there. Then in 1880 he is still in Boscobel with more childdren and then a George and wife Marie show up in Milwaukee, WI in 1900. He is age 68, b. March 1832. Not sure if this is the same George. I hope this helps.
