Researching in Clayton Co.

CAUDLE, LAMPHIERLAMPHIEAR, WALTENBAUGH, DURLAND, DAVIS

We are coming to Clayton County to do research in July. Besides the courthouse are there other places I should visit. My "known" family members were in the area from 1850 to 1920. Sperry Twp, Volga (city), Strawberry Point, and Highland Twp seem to be where they lived. I am interested in the cemeteries, newspapers from the era, and family history collections anywhere.

Any advice on lodging and restaurants will be also welcome.
