Need more Iowa information

Help! I am in Washington State, and I am new at genealogy. I am looking for information on my ggggrandparents Joseph "Joe" Bradshaw and Caroline Freeman Bradshaw. I know that Joseph was born abt 1825 in Indiana per 1860,1870, & 1880 Iowa Census.

I found an obituary online for Caroline Freeman Bradshaw, (Snohomish County Tribune,Snohomish, Washington from 1912)In this obituary it says that she was the wife of "Joe" Bradshaw, who was a Civil War Veteran, belonging to Co. E, 9th Iowa Volunteers. It also stated that he died 06-15-1893 in Volga City, Iowa. Together they had 12 children 4 boys and 6 girls. These are the ones I know of: Louisa BRADSHAW Patton born abt 1849 in Wisconsin, Annett Bradshaw born abt 1852 in Iowa,Susannah and/or Savannah E. BRADSHAW Blanchard born abt 1856 in Iowa, John P. BRADSHAW born abt 1859,Oren BRADSHAW born abt 1860 in Iowa, *Amanda "Lucretia" BRADSHAW Haufle born 08-14-1863 in Iowa*(this is my gggrandmother) married Donatus Haufle, Lorinda and or Lorena BRADSHAW Warner born abt 1866 in Iowa, Edna I. BRADSHAW Bailey and or Inez Bradshaw born abt 1868 in Iowa, Florence "Flora" J. BRADSHAW Krebs, and Justus E. BRADSHAW born abt 1874 in Iowa. On the 1900 Census a grand daughter named Ethel MARIEL is listed.

Also listed on that obituary was that Joseph Bradshaw and Caroline Freeman both can trace their roots to the early english colonists.

I have not been able to find anything Confirming Joseph Bradshaw's Civil War service. I wonder if he went by his middle name or had a different name. I have no other name for him except "Joe and Joseph". I do not know what his parents names are. I would like to get an Obituary on him and some cemetery records. I saw some where on line that he is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Iowa, maybe it would be of help

I also do not know who Caroline Freeman's parents are. I do know,per her obituary that she had a brother named John Freeman. I have not been able to find any further information on them.
