Ist Iowa Cav-Civil War

My paternal grandfather's father-in-law, Dr. David Disnmore served in Co. I of the first Iowa Cavalry, during the Civil War. He is buried at Albia, IA, and this info is on his stone. When I attempted to find the unit roster, it switches me back to the ISP start page, though this site comes up in connection with it. Am I on a wild goose chase, or can you provide further info? Thanks.
