Anna Kathern Zimmer was born July 24, 1890 in North Buena Vista. She died Dec. 17, 1964 in Dubuque, Iowa. Her parents were: Michael Zimmer and Rosa (Rose) Bruket (Married in North Buena Vista, Clayton Co., Iowa).

Rosa (Rose) Burket-Zimmer was born Dec. 26, 1849 in Baden Germany as were both of her parents (per the 1880 US Census). She died Oct. 26, 1944 (In Clayton Co.?) and is buried at Immaculate Conception Cem., Row 1, plot 26.

The 1854 Iowa Census lists a John Zimmer: 2 males, 1 female, 1 alien for a total of 3 people in his home in Clayton Co., Iowa, Farmersburg Township.

Thomas Haskell et.al VS Gustave Zimmer et. al Nov. 15, 1870 in Clayton Co. District Court.

There is a Rev. David Zimmer of St. Paul Evangelical Church, McGregor, Iowa 2010 and he seems to have buried a few Zimmers in the past few years.

WHAT HAPPENED TO ROSE BRUKET'S FAMILY? HER PARENTS AND HER BROTHERS AND SISTERS? ROSE WAS THE OLDEST CHILD AND WAS SAID TO HAVE BEEN 'DROPPED OFF' AS A YOUNG CHILD (AGE 10-12)TO WORK AT A PROVISIONS STORE OR WAY-SIDE ON 32ND ST. IN DUBUQUE, IOWA WHEN "HER FAMILY MOVED WEST."
