This isn't a query, but a note of correction. My Samuel Hess has the middle initial of "L", not "H". This has been clarified on probate papers from the Clayton County Court House. Also, his wife, Francis McDonald Hess' spelling of Francis is actually Frances, another discovery from her signature on probate papers mentioned above.
