Guttenberg, Iowa, 1860 census

(initial) KELLER, age 44
Therisa KELLER, age 40
Martin KELLER, age 3
Christian KELLER, age 2
John KELLER, age 1 month

My husband's great-grandparents are known to have had their picture taken in Guttenberg, Iowa, in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

Since we have not, in 30 years of research, found siblings for the great-grandfather, we are wanting to find out if this KELLER family might have been known to, or related to, them.

As you probably know, there were many spellings used in the USA for this Germanic surname.

The great-grandparents were:
Christian Friedrich Wilhelm KOHLER / COLAR (1837-1906)
and
Dorothea Sophia Christiana NEUMANN / NIEMANN (1842-1918).

If you are descended from the family listed in the above census extraction, please let me hear from you.

Thanks,
Leslie Kohler
