Have you tried the Cedar Rapids Library? http://crpubliclibrary.newspaperarchive.com/Default.aspx

I couldn't find the incident you are talking about, I only searched for Katsky and Katskie. and there were 3 results 2 in the 1970s and one in 1907, listing leading farmers

Katsky, A., 18, E Walker, R R I

I don't know first names and they had REALLY bad spelling back then and the OCR on this is great! but sometimes the paper itself is kinda blurred. Maybe you will have better luck
