I am looking for any information regarding Simon and Catharine Pechan and their family. They were listed in Jefferson, Clayton, IA in the 1856 Iowa Census, and the 1860 census. I am particularly interested in their son Rineheart that was listed as having been born about 1859. I am trying to find the parents of my great-great-great grandfather Bernard Pechan, and I am wondering if he is really this Rineheart. I know the family should have moved to Wisconsin for the 1870 census becuase of some of their kids being listed as born in Wisconsin in later census records. (Wyalusing, Grant, Wisconsin), but I cannot find any record of this family anywhere in the 1870 census (nor can I find anything for Bernard Pechan). Other spellings I have come across for this family include Pehan, Puhan, Peckan, Peckham. If anyone has any help that could be provided to me, it would be much appreciated!
