I, too, am researching the Enderes family and just found our grandfather's sister, Louisa (Hupp) Enderes listed as wife to Ernst in the 1900 and subsequent census records. Just to muddy the waters concerning Barbary, Louisa's mother was also called Barbara and was born around 1826 in Barvaria, but lived in Lansing, IA. I'm sorry I don't know anything about Chris Finkenkeller but I do see that Ernst was a machinist and eventually managed a tool factory there. The family did take in boarders in 1910, as well, one of whom was also a machinist. Good luck with your search.
