ANSON RUDSDELL

My ancestor, Anson Rudsdell, received 160 acres in Clayton County in 1851 for his service in "Captain Parker's Company, Service, mounte(?)volunteers," by an Act of Congress approved on February 11, 1847. I have the certificate awarding him the land. Does anyone know what this company did?
