I know that my grandfather was born in Buena Vista, Iowa in the late 1800's. His name was Nicholas Charles Huble. His parents changed their surname over history because they were concerned that their German background could be held against them during WWI. I assume they used some Americanized varient of the surname. I believe that his mother's name was Maryand that she was from France, and I belive that his father was also named Nicholas Charles Huble, and that he immigrated from Germany. I would appreciate any information you may have concerning these people. Thanks
