Bowman, Angeline (Train) 1838-1920

The remains of Mrs. Angeline Bowman, aged 81 years, an inmate of the poor farm at Elkader, were brought here Monday for burial. She leaves three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Bowers and Mrs. Lettie Huggard, of this place, and Mrs. Carrie Lills, of Toronto.

Note: WPA records show burial in the Poor Farm cemetery, which is incorrect. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery on 3/29/1920 (source: "Iowa Deaths and Burials, 1850-1990," database, FamilySearch.org)

Maiden name is from the Clayton Co. Marriage Register 1839-1861, Vol 2 Pg 20. Husband: Andrew Bowman.
