ELMER F. ERB

Funeral services for Elmer F. Erb, 72, of McGregor were held June 3, 1989 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, both of McGregor.

He was born to Karl and Elizabeth Lembke Erb. He and Arlene Larson were married May 18, 1938 in Clermont.

They farmed in the Postville and Luana area until 1952. He also had owned and operated the Luana Tavern, Luana Motel and Chase Mfg. He also drove a school bus for 15 years. In 1967 they moved to McGregor where he sharpened saws and had a bait shop. He owned and operated the Elm-Ar Woodcraft Shop in McGregor.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene, a son, Ronald of Waukon, 2 daughters, Shirley Hute of Florrisant, CO and Janet Meyers of Davenport; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Stockburger of Luana and Helen Larson of Bowie, MD.
