Herman W. Dannenbring, 95, of Thornton Manor, Lans­ing, and formerly of New Albin, died Thursday, November 21, 1991, at Thornton Manor.

Herman was the son of Louis and Emma (Hinrichs) Dannenbring and was born No­vember 4, 1896, in Clayton County, Iowa.

He was a member of St. Pe­ter's United Church of Christ, New Albin. He was united in marriage to Amanda Teufert on February 3, 1921. On May 4, 1951, he was united in marriage to Gladys Tippery.

Herman farmed in Clayton County. He also worked for Kerndt Brothers Elevator, Lans­ing, and Mauss Produce in New Albin.

Survivors include a daugh­ter, Irene Adney of Eureka Springs, AR, a step-daughter, Virginia Tippery of Lansing, a granddaughter, Charlene Kap­pelmann of Springfield, MO, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Gladys, who died De­cember 3, 1983.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 25, at St. Peter's U.C.C., New Albin, with Reverend Dennis Siebert offi­ciating. Burial was in the New Albin City cemetery.

Pallbearers were Cleon Sires, Robert Bulman, Jim Rich­ards, Joel Sires, Delbert Fink and Herb Zarwell.

Schultz Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of ar­rangements.

His first marriage may have ended in divorce, Amanda Trufert Dannenbring (12/30/1897-01/12/1979) is buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
