Henry Griffin of McGregor, one of the 9th, died in St. Louis a few days ago of varioloid.

DIED - At St. Louis, of Varioloid, on the 13th Dec., Reuben Henry Griffin, of the 9th Iowa Cavalry, aged 10 years. The deceased was from McGregor; he leaves many sorrowing friends in this city.

Notes: Named as Henry Griffin, age 15, on the 1860 census, Mendon twp. in household of Reuben & Sarah Griffin
