Mrs. Fannie Gilchrist, 82, died Dec. 26 1952 at Delaware county Memorial hospital in Manchester. Born Dec. 25, 1870, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stuart of New York City. Married in 1895 to Tyler Gilchrist at Strawberry Point, she lived here for 58 years. She was a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star in Strawberry Point, and also a member of Rebecca lodge. She had a rural school education and her hobby was flowers.

Preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, she is survived by her only son, Malcolm of Strawberry Point.

Funeral services were held at the Gill chapel on Dec. 29 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Carlson officiating. Interment was at the Strawberry Point cemetery.
