Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Gehring, 64, were held at Peace E. and R. church in Elkader Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Mrs. Gehring died Friday, Dec. 13, 1957, at General hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wis., following surgery.

She was born Oct. 03, 1893, in Wagner township, and was a daughter of Ole and Anna Wold Johnson. In 1919, she was married to William Gehring of Elkader.

A member of the E and R church, she was also a member of the Women's Guild and of the Auxiliary of Rural Letter Carriers' association.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Lowell, who is stationed with the Marine Corps at China Lake, Calif.; a grandchild, Geneva; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Olson of St. Paul, Minn.; and a brother, Alvin Johnson of Farmersburg.
