DIED - On Saturday night last, at about 12 o'clock, Thomas Atwood, aged 55, late of the City Hotel, died at his residence in McGregor.

His disease was called lingering consumption, but on examination ater death the physicians fond it to be ulceration and contraction of the stomach, a disease that carries off a great many men. Bonaparte was a distinguished victim to its demands. Mr. Atwood suffered long and bravely. Our acquaintance with him was limited.

His body was taken to Monona for burial on Monday.
