Clayton County Register, 26 Oct. 1944.
Funeral services for Gladys Kitterer, 13, daughter of the Rev. Paul Kitterer, who died at the Deaconess Lutheran hospital in Marshalltown, Monday at 4 a.m. following an appendectomy on Wednesday, Oct. 18, will be held from the Frieden's Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.
The Rev. Herbert Widemeyer of Hampton, and the Rev. Frank Stucki of Waukon will officiate. Burial will be in the East Side cemetery.
The body is resting at the Oelke funeral home where friends may call until Friday when it will be moved to the residence.
