STRAWBERRY POINT: Fred B. Moser 75 died Monday. His death was sudden although he had been a sufferer for some time with a heart ailment.
He was the son of Simon and Anna Moser born Jan. 12 1868, at Elgin, Iowa. On Dec. 13, 1894, he was married to Mary Jane Moyle. They farmed in different parts of this community, retiring in Strawberry Point about three years ago.
Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Kingsland, who cared for her parents, two sons, Fred Jr., of Strawberry Point and Howard, a private in the army stationed at Chambersburg, Pa. Four children, Harry F. Clifford L., Ray Henry and Goldin Lucille, preceded their father in death. There are six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. J. F. Wenzel of Strawberry Point, four brothers, J. W. Moser of San Diego, Calif., S. J. Moser of Marshalltown, Henry and Ernest of Strawberry Point.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. R. Park Anderson. Music was by Lucille Luse and Dr. R. W. Dutton, accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Kramer. Casket bearers were Bert Stamp, F. L. Chevalier, Gerhard Renken, John Jewell, Will Glass, and Gilbert Lingard. Burial was in the local cemetery.
