Volga: Peter Myers was born at Sterling, Ill., January 05, 1878, and died September 22, 1939. Early last Friday morning, in company with Luverne Jellings, he had gone to the timber to cut wood a short distance west of town, suffered a stroke and died almost immediately.

When he was seven years old, his parents moved to Volga, where he had since made his home.

On June 26, 1912, he was united in marriage to Leta Keiholtz, to which union two children were born, Glen of Detroit, Mich., and Paul of Volga.

On Feb. 20, 1927, he joined the Methodist church at Volga.

Besides his widow and two sons he leaves three brothers, Bert of Hills, Minn., James and Clifton of Volga, and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Swett of Hills, Minn., and Mrs. Jessie Page of Volga. His brother Eli preceded him in death on June 13, 1935.

Funeral services were held in the M.E. church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. E. J. Starr conducted the services.

Pallbearers were Ernest T. Smith, Herbert H. Smith, Fred P. Gernand, Herman F. Baars, Albert I. Duff and Delos J. Crain. Interment was in Hill Crest cemetery, Volga.
