Strawberry Point: The body of George Staehle of Kansas City, Mo., a former resident, was brought here Tuesday for burial. Services were conducted by the Rev. James E. McLain, pastor of the Congregational church, followed by a Masonic burial in charge of J. E. Shaffer, worshipful master. Mr. Staehle was 84 years of age and suffered a stroke on Tuesday of last week and was taken immediately to the Research hospital in Kansas City. He never regained consciousness and death came last Sunday. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry F. (Carol) Noll of Kansas City; three grandchildren, and one brother, Albert Staehle, of Burt. The deceased formerly conducted a hardware store here and was proprietor of the Franklin Hotel.
