Joseph Daniel Poull, who died at the home of his parents here Thursday evening, Dec. 08, from a stroke suffered late that same afternoon, was buried at St. Joseph's cemetery here Monday morning.
He was born March 10, 1916, and at the time of his death had reached the age oof 22 years, eight months and 28 days. Since November of last year he was a firm member of Poull's Food Mart in partnership with his brother.
The deceased graduated with the class of 1935 from St. Joseph's high school here, where he was an active athlete. He was a member of the local council of the Knights of Columbus which group attended the services in a body.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Poull; three brothers - Vincent of Chicago, Gerald and John Edwin at home; one nephew, Joseph Pat and one niece, Mary Elizabeth.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church Monday morning, the Rev. Father J. P. Taken officiating, and burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery, with the Knights of Columbus officiating.
Casket-bearers were: Martin Penniton, Francis McTaggart, Howard Wacker, Richard Fassbinder, Ray Humphrey and Max Gerber.
Relatives attending the services included: Sister M. Michele and Sister M. Benedictus, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Poull and Mrs. Leroy Poull, Chicago; Mrs. Geo. Poull, West Bend, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Poull, Mrs. M. L. Sturm and Julianne, Emil P. Poull, Clarence Poull, Peter Poull and son Peter and daughter Helen all of Port Washington, Wis.; Mrs. Ed. Coughlin, Milwaukee, Wis.; James Fay Emmetsburg and Mrs. J. J. Roach, West Union.
