Cecil Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Adams of near Guttenberg, died at nine o'clock, last Wednesday morning, in the Mercy hospital in Dubuque of injuries received a week ago Sunday evening, when the car he was driving skidded in loose gravel. Cecil received a fractured skull and a broken pelvis bone, in addition to internal injuries.
Cecil was 19 years old. He was born May 28, 1919, on a farm near Edgewood. Before he was a year old, he moved with his parents to Clayton, where he lived until three years ago, when the Adamses moved to the William Junk farm north of Guttenberg.
He attended school in Clayton, and, after his parents moved to the Junk farm, worked as a farm hand. At the time of his death, he was employed on a farm near St. Olaf.
Funeral services were held last Saturday at Clayton.
