Clayton County Register, 25 May 1938.

MONONA: Funeral services for Mrs. John Seeland, who died suddenly at Froelich in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Seeland, were held at two o'clock, Monday afternoon, from St. Paul's Lutheran church, the Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiating, with burial in the City cemetery.

Surviving Mrs. Seeland are the widower, John Seeland, and two sons, Arthur W. Seeland of Froelich, and Leslie D. Seeland of Monona. Her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Kaiser, preceded her in death. Three granddaughters also survive her.

Mrs. Seeland was a loyal member of the local Lutheran church, a loving wife and mother, and a kind neighbor. Her three grandchildren loved her devoutly.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended Mr. Seeland and sons in their bereavement.
