Clayton County Register, 09 Feb. 1938.

GUTTENBERG: Funeral services were held Tuesday a.m. at St. Mary's church for Mr. Jacob Jaeger. He was found dead in bed last Sunday morning by his son.

Mr. Jaeger was born in Guttenberg in 1860, and had lived here all his life. He is survived by five sons: John, Alex, William, Hubert and Herman, all of Jefferson township, and one brother, Peter. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
