EDGEWOOD: Shirley A. Sickles, 43, Elk township farmer, took his life sometime Saturday in the same house he occupied on the farm. The body was not found until Sunday by Virgil Lamphere, who rents the small farm which the deceased owned.
The body was taken to the Plat_ funeral home here and services are being held today in the M.E. church in Colesburg, while burial will be made at Bolsinger. Adam Sickles, father of the dead man lives in Graham.
Following an inquest conducted Monday by Coroner Leslie Oelke of Elkader, the jurors - Claude Gleason, Glenn Smock and S. F. R_ss - brought in a verdict of Suicide. The dead man had used a 12-guage shotgun to blow off the top of his head.
