Clayton County Register, 28 April 1937.

Elkport: Carl Swisher, a prominent young farmer of Mallory township, died at his home Thursday. Mr. Swisher had been sick for several years. The deceased was 34 years of age. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his untimely death. Burial took place Sunday in the Brown cemetery.
