Allyn, Juliet 1873 - 1936

Miss Juliet Allyn died at the home place in Garnavillo township, Wednesday evening, Jan. 22nd, at 6:15 after a short illness.

Miss Allyn was born July 29, 1873, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Allyn, Sr., and most of her life was spent at the home place and at McGregor. She graduated from the McGregor schools and for a time attended Carlton college at Northfield, Minn.

She was never in the best of health, but was never known to complain and always looked upon the brighter side of life.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday, conducted by Mrs. J. Dunning of the Christian Science church of which Miss Allyn was a member. Interment was made in the family plot beside that of her parents in the Kendalville cemetery near Cresco.

Those who mourn her passing are the Wm. Allyn family, several aunts and cousins, and a host of friends.
