ASPLAND, FINCH, WARD

Elkader Register, Thur., 17 Oct. 1912. Littleport column.

Died, at the home of her son, Bert Aspland, on Oct. 08, 1912, Rebecca Aspland, aged 84 years, 9 months and 18 days. The subject of this sketch, whose maiden name was Finch, leaves three children and three grandchildren to mourn her, Bert Aspland, who lives south of town; Frank Ward, of West Union; and Willis Ward, of Kansas. The two latter are sons of a former marriage. Three children and her husband, B. Aspland, preceded her. She was buried at Lima, Ia., Oct. 11th, Rev. Turner officiating. A long and beautiful life has closed and she will be missed by many.
