The remains of Mrs. Patrick Fury were brought here on the train this noon and buried by the side of her husband in St. Joseph's cemetery. Her two sons, Patrick J., and John, her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Dillon, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Patrick J. Fury, accompanied the remains to their last resting place, returning to Dubuque on the train to-day.
Mrs. Margaret Fury, died Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the residence of her son, Patrick J. Fury, in Dubuque, after an illness of six weeks.
The deceased was born in the year 1854 in New York, and at the age of two years came with her parents to Elkader. She was married to Patrick Fury at Prairie du Chien forty years ago and for the past twenty-seven years has been a resident of Dubuque.
Her husband died one year ago last February. Two sons and one daughter, Patrick, John and Mrs. Joseph Dillon, survive. The deceased was a member of St. Patrick's church and was a woman greatly beloved by a wide circle of friends.
