DIED - Catharine Burke Gannon died February 20, 1902 of Brights disease.

She was born in Limerick, Ireland, July 1835 came to America with her parents when 16 years of age, resided a number of years in N.Y. City and later at St. Louis, where she was married.

They came to McGregor in 1863 and resided here since that time. She was the mother of seven children, four have preceded her, and three are left to mourn the loss of a kind mother: Katharine B., and Will of this city and Elizabeth of Saginaw, Michigan.

Services were held at St. Mary's church, Rev. Father O'Donnell officiating. She was laid to rest in St. Mary's cemetery beside her husband who had preceded her just 16 years ago.
