Jacob Kann, son of John Kann, died of consumption Wednesday at 12:15, after a long illness. His death was momentarily expected, and he was conscious until the last moment, and expired without the least perceptible struggle. Deceased was born in Guttenberg 36 years ago; and was married to Miss Anna Kieber about four years ago, and who, with two small boys, Joseph, aged 3 years, and Eddie, aged 10 months, survive him. Mr. Kann was possessed of a modest and retiring disposition and his whole life was characterized by generous and noble impulses. In his death the community loses an upright member and a good and kind neighbor.
