Fredericke Poischke*, Sr., died in Jefferson township on the 15th of July, the cause of death being old age. He was born in Germany on October 04, 1809. He was married in Germany in 1837 to Miss Karoline Bobholz. A few years later he moved to the United States, and settled near Guttenberg. Ten children were born, but nine had followed the way of death, leaving one daughter, Mrs. L. C. Meyer, of Malcolm, Nebraska.
