Elkader Register, Thur., 12 May 1892. Guttenberg column.

Wm. Pencher* died at the age of 59 years, Monday, May 09th, at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Hy. Bledenbach*. He came to Clayton County in 1862 and lived on a farm most of the time, and was not married.

The surnames should be Peucker and Biedenbach. His sister was Gertrude (Peucker) Biedenbach Walber. Her obituary is in the "Guttenberg Press" issue of Wed., 13 Apr. 1898, page 5, column 4.
