Elkader Register, Thur., 10 Mar. 1892.

Carl Buchheim, for many years a resident of Clayton Center, a man whom everybody seemed to know as a jolly, good hearted man, died at that place on Saturday last of cancer. The funeral took place on Tuesday, under the auspices of Bismarck lodge No. 110, A.O.U.W., of Elkader, of which deceased had been a member for several years. Mr. Buchheim leaves a wife and nine children.
