Elkader Register, Thur., 11 Feb. 1892.

Mrs. Ruth Annie Hammond, wife of John Hammond, of Mallory twp., died at her home on Saturday, Jan. 23rd. She was born in Bedford county, pa., April 6th, 1822, and was married to John Hammond, April 08th, 1862. Moving to this county that same year, she resided here until her death, forming a large circle of friends who are left to mourn the loss of a friend and neighbor.
