Elkader Register, Thur., 27 June 1889. From the Postville Review, undated.

Mrs. Anna Catherine Henkes died on Monday at the residence of her son J. Henkes, in Wagner township, Clayton County, in the eighty-third year of her age. She leaves six sons and daughters to mourn her loss, the husband having died thirteen years ago. The funeral was held Wednesday. - Postville Review.
