DIED - At Jackson, Michigan, Aug. 4th, John M. Simpson, aged 38, formerly of McGregor, and one of the mercantile firm of Simpson & Hoxsie.

Mr. Simpson was a man of fine mind and upright character. We knew him well, and to know him was to esteem him. His death occurred after an illness of one week, of inflammation of the stomach. He was buried with the ceremonies of the Masonic order.
